Making Every Moment Count with Eric Farewell | The Better Than Rich Show Ep. 64
Making Every Moment Count with Eric Farewell
Growing into a more confident person may not always require learning to fly a plane, but it certainly helps!
Eric Farewell grew up in aviator culture. Flying developed into his technique for coping with and working through the issues that vexed him on earth. His voyage through the skies quickly taught him to shift his perspective as a way to work on his problems and come out the other side a better person.
While one might expect a lifelong pilot to thrive on adrenaline, Eric is quite the opposite. In our chat with him, we learned that he actively avoids risk and experiences fear in much the same way we all do when it comes to the success of our businesses.
For Eric, the mission to help his students crush their fears is a central value of his business. The fellow Front Row Dad even admits to experiencing fear in a very real and understandable way in the form of imposter syndrome. He was often fearful of delegating tasks; the idea of asking someone else to do the work for him felt strange. But with hundreds of emails flooding his inbox every day, Eric knew he needed to make a change and fast.
Part of what Eric shared with us included a great example of how delegation can really empower you to grow your business, and you know that we are ALL about that! Talking with Eric also let us in on his remarkable origin story as well allow us to gain a better understanding of how fear can sometimes manifest in ordinary ways. From acquiring 30 broken bones in his youth to training 300 aviation students a year, Eric’s story is definitely one you want to make time for!
