What were you up to at 5 years old? After nailing the whole walking thing, you were probably into cartoons or maybe you were navigating the world of the alphabet and figuring out how to sneak a cookie out of the kitchen.
Deven Wohlwend was into investing and at the age of 5 he decided it was time to give it a try. Adopting the philosophy of investing in what you know, he began investing in lego sets that were soon to be retired, expecting to capture a profit once these sets increased in value.
We can’t say this enough…he was FIVE! Clearly Deven wasn’t an ordinary child. A couple of years later, he invested in real estate and creatively sourced the funding when the banks turned him down.
Deven credits his parents for his success, telling us that not only did they provide him with lots of exposure to the world of real estate investing, they remind him daily to use his talents to help make the world a better place.
Deven’s tenacity, intelligence and understanding of what really matters are at a level well beyond his 16 years. This latest episode of The Better Than Rich Show will remind you that curiosity and the willingness to seek solutions are all part of the recipe for success.
