Dare to Dream: Finding the Courage to Pursue Your Passion with William Hung

The year is 2004 and you step onto a stage before a panel of judges.  You sing your favorite song.  You sing your heart out.  Once it’s over one judge is especially hard on you and doesn’t hold back in his commentary.  Oh yeah, you’re also on national TV so millions of people are watching this all go down. Also, that judge is none other than Simon Cowell.  

So, what to do after such an experience?  Go back to regular life with your tail between your legs perhaps?  Not for William Hung.  In our interview with the former American Idol contestant, we learn what William’s been up to since his famous audition and how he’s helping inspire people to live authentic lives and chase their dreams.

William’s energy is electric, his enthusiasm enviable.  He lives a life guided by the idea that no one should ignore their dreams or live a life to appease others.  This would explain his many pursuits outside of the confines of traditional career choices.  

Instead of being confined to a cubicle, William is out there, trying his hand at professional poker and even working on his vision for a board game.  William lives a life with bravery and pure authenticity and he wants to inspire others to do the same.  

Our time with William was illuminating.  Who knew that someone could lead such a fulfilling life after flunking an American Idol audition?  William has a lot of heart, tenacity, and a healthy thirst to try new things.  His story will change the way you look at life and will motivate you to live out your dreams.
